Two different Samsung Galaxy S24 battery leaks have pointed to the Galaxy S24 having a 4,000mAh battery, and we haven’t heard any other capacities rumored, so it’s very likely that this is accurate.
This would result in a 100mAh increase compared to the 3,900mAh battery in the Samsung Galaxy S23.
Although no specific information has surfaced regarding the expected duration between charges for this larger battery, our evaluation during the Samsung Galaxy S23 review revealed that its 3,900mAh battery could endure a full day and extend halfway into the subsequent morning.
Consequently, we anticipate that the Galaxy S24’s battery life will at least match its predecessor.
If anything, it might even last slightly longer—potentially a day and a half—due to the augmented battery size and the prospect of a newer, potentially more power-efficient chipset.
However, reports indicate a slightly larger screen at 6.2 inches, compared to the Galaxy S23’s 6.1 inches, which could impact battery consumption.
In summary, the overall battery life may remain comparable. Samsung’s official specifications for the Galaxy S23 include up to 20 hours of internet usage, up to 22 hours of video playback, or up to 71 hours of audio playback.
Therefore, we can anticipate a similar or even enhanced performance from the Samsung Galaxy S24.
Regarding charging, one leak suggests a 25W limit for the Galaxy S24, while another claims the device can reach 50% battery capacity in 30 minutes—a reasonable expectation for a 25W charging setup.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus Battery Life Predictions

Information from three separate leaks has consistently pointed to a 4,900mAh battery for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus.
These details align with the sources that provided information on the 4,000mAh battery for the standard Galaxy S24 and an additional Galaxy S24 Plus battery leak.
As no alternative capacities have been proposed, there is a high likelihood that this information is accurate. Notably, this battery size would represent a 200mAh increase compared to the 4,700mAh battery found in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus.
While this suggests potential improvements in battery life, there are also indications that the Galaxy S24 Plus could feature a slightly larger screen at 6.7 inches, possibly offsetting any gains.
Considering the longevity aspect, our assessment during the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus review revealed that the phone could comfortably last for almost two days. It is conceivable that the Galaxy S24 Plus could deliver a similar performance.
Samsung’s official estimates for the Galaxy S23 Plus include up to 22 hours of internet usage on mobile data, up to 23 hours on Wi-Fi, up to 27 hours of video playback, or up to 84 hours of audio playback.
Hence, one can reasonably anticipate at least these figures from the Galaxy S24 Plus, if not slightly more.
Regarding charging capabilities, reports suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus will support 45W charging, mirroring the capabilities of the Galaxy S23 Plus.
Additionally, there are indications that the Galaxy S24 Plus could achieve a charge from 0% to 65% in just 30 minutes.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is highly likely to sport a 5,000mAh battery, with multiple sources converging on this information.
This consensus includes the aforementioned sources and is reinforced by Yogesh Brar, a reputable leaker who also asserts the presence of a 5,000mAh battery in the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Interestingly, while the standard Galaxy S24 and the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus are rumored to feature larger batteries compared to their predecessors, the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s 5,000mAh battery matches that of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Although this might be somewhat disappointing, it simplifies the task of estimating the potential duration between charges, as the two devices are likely to exhibit similar performance in this regard.
In our assessment during the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra review, the device typically lasted around a day and a half.
Samsung’s official claims for the Galaxy S23 Ultra suggested up to 25 hours of internet usage, up to 26 hours of video playback, or up to 99 hours of audio playback.
Hence, it’s reasonable to expect similar or identical statistics for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, with the possibility of factors like a newer, more efficient chipset enhancing battery life.
The rumored 6.8-inch screen size, while consistent with its predecessor, may not significantly impact battery life.
However, speculation suggests that the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s display could be more power-efficient, potentially contributing to extended battery longevity compared to the S23 Ultra.
Regarding charging capabilities, multiple sources indicate that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will support 45W charging, similar to its predecessor.
There are even more specific reports suggesting the device could charge from 0% to 65% in just 30 minutes.
